SYNOPSIS:
AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION CONTROL SYSTEM provides knowledge to the students regarding the control system on air conditioning and refrigeration and basic pneumatic and hydraulic system. It emphasize on the basic control principle, types of control, refrigeration control system and control accessories (domestic and commercial), air and water balancing control system, building automation system and motor control.
COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO):
Upon completion of this course students should be able to;
CLO1 : Explain knowledge related to basic control in air conditioning (C2, PLO1) and refrigeration system
CLO2 : Apply knowledge and understanding of the functional (C3. PLO1) refrigeration control system and accessories, air andwater balancing and building automation system.
CLO3 : Demonstrate good communication skill in oral presentation in (A3, PLO10) group, on assigned topic within a stipulated time frame.
ASSESSMENT: The course assessment consists of :
i. Continuous Assessment (CA) – 50% ii. Final Examination (FE) /Final Assessment (FA)– 50%
Final examination/ Final assessment is carried out at the end of the semester.
